β€œTo get these painting made, I took three 3x4ft canvases and made a fort to sit in, all facing in. I needed to keep all three in mind for cohesion, and with a deadline I found that switching every 30 minutes to keep things fresh worked wonders. I had been given the three cities to reference, a brief family story line, and asked to use a bird. From there I had the freedom to interpret. I am very grateful for this project in particular, it fed me well both body and soul.”
